The Merrimac Municipal Light Department (MMLD) located in Merrimac; MA is seeking a full-time Customer Service/Administrative Assistant position. MMLD is a municipal electric utility serving the Town of Merrimac that offers competitive salaries and benefits which includes a guaranteed pension.
- Three years of customer service experience and/or administrative assistant experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Experienced with customer billing systems, information systems, and website design/maintenance
- Computer literacy (Microsoft office, Office, General Ledger software, CRM)
- Ability to handle difficult customers and complaints
- Ability to learn NDS billing software/Vadar general ledger software
- Knowledge to maintain frequent social media content and postings
- Detail oriented and must be able to multitask and have a pleasant demeanor both on the telephone and when interacting with the public and fellow employees
- Must be positive, energetic, personable, excellent communicator, self-disciplined and possess a strong ethical foundation.
