Budget Payment Plan

If you are unable to pay your electric bill, MMLD offers a Budget Payment Plan to assist customers in avoiding service interruption.

Budget Plan Terms

  • Budget plans are offered once per year.
  • Past-due balances may be divided into up to four equal payments.
  • The first payment must be made prior to scheduled shutoff.
  • Remaining payments are due along with any new charges added to the account.

Agreement

Customers enrolling in the plan must sign an agreement stating they will:
  • Pay the agreed-upon budget payment amount, and
  • Continue paying all new charges on the account.
  • Failure to meet these terms will result in immediate return to shutoff status.

Reconnection Fees

If service is shut off for nonpayment, the following reconnection fees will apply:
  • First offense: $50.00
  • Each additional offense: an additional $50.00 increase
  • Maximum reconnection fee: $500.00
