Merrimac Light Department has named Mary Usovicz as their new general manager. Ms. Usovicz has over 25 years’ experience in the energy industry. She recently was President of MU Connections a full-service consulting business assisting energy organizations and companies with their communication and business development needs. Her client listed included companies such as Umass Lowell, First Light Power, Energy New England and RENEW to name a few.

“We are pleased that Mary will be assuming the reins of our municipal light department. Her skills and abilities will be beneficial to Merrimac efforts to provide safe, reliable and cost-effective power service,” said Chairman of the Merrimac Lighting Board, Chief Larry Fisher.

Prior to owning her own consulting firm, Mary Usovicz was Vice President of Business Development for TRC and Vice President of External Affairs for Repsol. Ms. Usovicz holds an MBA from Suffolk University and an BA from American University. Ms. Usovicz resides in Salem, MA and is married to the former Mayor of Salem MA – Stanley J. Usovicz. Together they have two children Motoria and Stash.
